| Mike Meyer 2005-03-04, 5:59 pm |
| I'm trying to find out if IBM HTTP 2.x licensing comes with WAS 5.x. It
says it 'supports' it but I can't find where it says the licensing is
included.
Thanks.

What do you mean by licensing? IHS is free of charge, you can download it from:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/webservers/httpservers/
if you want to use it, and to check if it is supported by WAS 5.x, check:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/web...est/prereq.html

| IHS is a freeware supported by IBM, and is not part of the IBM WebSphere
5.x, for license papers you will have to lookout in IBM website.

| IHS is a webserver shipped with various IBM software product. IHS by itself
can be downloaded from IBM website. IHS by itself does not ship with either
WAS or WAS plug-in.

IHS (IBM HTTP Server) can be downloaded and used free of charge, without the
need for a license. However, you are only entitled for support on this
product if you either buy a seperate support contract, or if it comes
bundled with another product for which you have a support contract (for
example, websphere).
Contact your IBM sales/support representative for further details.
