Author Help needed with a unique request time out problem
IHS starter

Iam using IHS 1.3.19.2. SSL authentication (https:// requests) is required when external users access the website which is taken care of by SSL accelarator and an AD4 router.

The problem that occurs is "Page not displayed" happens occasionally when an external https:// request is made. When it is accessed internally through http://(no firewall) it works fine.

The web server is up and running all the time so is the app server. When i checked the access log i find a request time out message as follows:

"-" 408 - "-" "-"

One other thing that happens is after half an hour or an hour the https:// requests start working by itself without doing anything with the web or app server. This makes it even more difficult to solve.

I would like to know if someone encountered this weird problem and managed to resolve. Is this being caused by the router or SSL accelarator because there seems to no problem with web or app server functioning??

Iam absolutely clueless as to where i begin the troubleshoot.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
