| Greetings,
I have to update an existing Enterprise App. (WC_demo) which gets
installed with WebSphere Commerce Instance creation. I need to import
a *.WAR and add some classes to *.jar. I checked the box next to the
Enterprise App. in WAS5.0 admin console and continued with the update
feature.
In the next step I have imported the *.war and specified the context
root though I dont have any need to install the *.war as a standalone
module, BUT the WAS admin console wont let me go past without
specifying the context root.
As per the WAS docs, (ch#17) when we update an app, the old bindings r
merged with new ones. Once the app is saved, the new one would replace
the old one. But after the entire installation, I have found that all
the old *.war's, *.jar's, *.rar's have gone missing from 'WC_demo.ear'
and it has only the latest imported '*.war' .
Does anyone knew what might have went wrong? How could this prob be
fixed so that I retain my old 'WC_demo' enterprise app with new
modules/files added in the installed app. Please let me know if you
need further info. Thank you.
