I download the self-Extractor file named C53HSML.EXE from IBM website. but
when I run it to decompress installation files to harddisk on my PC, the
program report a error as:

Can't create output file. C:\Temp\setup\9e39080394fr53d03489d9309d
.....

it's very interesting that IBM did not use SAVF format or CD Image format to
deploy this product. how can I make CD from this Self-Extractor file?

By the way I have tried other version that downloaded from IBM, Business
version and professional version, all of them has the same issue.

so if i can not order CDs from IBM, how can I used the E-Deployment
installation file?
Who has experience to install Websphere commerce for iSeries successfully
without CDs but from this E-Deployment installation file?

If I were to be in a bad day, I would say that installing from
Self-Extractor file works just as well as installing from the CD's .... it
simply does not work!
I've spend a month installing the 5.5 express development environement and
have it work (with long long hours on the phone with the lab), the self
exctrator files for win2K never worked and I'm hoping to have it working one
day on Linux because so far with the CD I received it fails after asking you
for the second CD.
Now after 2 .5 months, I'm still hoping to receive real working tested CD's
one day ... who knows a miracle may happen!

Share my experience:

The self-extractor file, it works for me now, but I have to make a CD by
myself
I successfully installed it to my iSeries box, after load 10 CD+ PTF, now
the Websphere commerce is okay, but the payment server still is not.
