Applying 5.5.0.3 to WSCommerce Studio

| Hello,
I'm trying to apply fix pack 5.5.0.3 to WSCommerce Studio 5.5.0.0 on
Win2k Professional and failing.
After having copied the WCStudio_installdir\Commerce\properties\
version
files to WCStudio_installdir\properties\version as suggested by Mark
Sheffield, somewhere in this group, and a few attempts, using the
updateWizard, the patch seems to install ok, but then both the
config_ant.bat and updatedb.bat steps from the install guide fail with a
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError.
Not wanting to be held back, I "fixed" these scripts by modifying the
CLASSPATH inside these scripts to include the missing jar files but upon
trying them get a "Program error: java.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by Windows..." It claims to be creating an error log, but I
cannot find this. Any ideas where it might be anyone?
Has anyone managed to apply this patch to WSC Studio?
Do i need to apply 5.5.0.1 and 5.5.0.2 before 5.5.0.3?
Any ideas or suggestions gratefully accepted...
Thanks
Tim

| Hello,
In fact, further to the above:
I rebooted and suddenly it's different. Windows, eh?!
This is now the output in my cmd window:
Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\thughe110>cd /d D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>set
PATH=C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\WINNT
\System32\Wbem;D:\WebSphere\CommerceStud
io55\Commerce\bin
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>set
CLASSPATH=D:\WEBSPH~1\SQLLIB\java\common
.jar
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>rem fails
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>config_ant.bat -buildfile
d:\websphere\CommerceStudio55\xml\config
\updateInstances.xml -DupdateCEP=no
The input line is too long.
The syntax of the command is incorrect.
D:\WebSphere\CommerceStudio55\bin>
The manual claims that this is because my CLASSPATH or PATH is too long
and that I chould restart my cmd window to fix it. Somehow I doubt this.
Once again, any ideas or suggestions will be gratefully received.
Thanks

Oops! I was reading the wrong manual. :-( I should be reading
"WCDev_5503_UpdateGuide.pdf" for Studio installations.
Thanks for ignoring this thread, it teaches me to RTFM, or maybe that
should be RT-Correct-FM ;-)
