| We are using WCS 5.4 Business edition and have several stores deployed. But
we need to enhance one of the stores to expand the product line and the
customer audience. So, this creates a problem because we can't just have all
catalog entries available to everyone. We need to create logical groupings
of the products and a single part number may exist in in multiple groups
with a different price in each logical group. Additionally we want to only
allow the user to see products that they are allowed to purchase, but they
should be able to add products from multiple logical groups to a single
order (if possible). In fact we want to design the catalog navigation so
that only the categories available for that user to purchase are displayed.
I have no experience with the "Product Set" functionality so I don't know if
it has hidden drawbacks or whether it will solve this problem gracefully.
Has anyone used "Product Sets" or solved this kind of problem before?
