Problems with 5.5.0.4 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server

| Hello.
I'm starting work on WC 5.5 and have installed the base product fine. The problem I run into is when I attempt to install the 5.5.0.4 FixPak.
I upgrade WAS to 5.0.1 and apply the PQ78690 efix and that works fine. But when I apply the 5.5.0.4 as outlined in the FixPak document (apply the fixpak and then run a series of batch files to complete the update), reboot the server and attempt to bring
up the Administration Console, the Java process running the WC_demo instance appears to stop and restart itself a number of times without any indication in the log files what the problem is.
Suggestions? Known mistakes with the documentation? Wrong platform? (I already know that answer to that, but I still had to ask.)
I've also attempted to update WAS to 5.0.2 and get the same result.
Here's my environment:
P4 2.4
1GB RAM
Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 4 and all of the latest Microsoft updates.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

| Which log files are you looking at ? Did you check both the system.err
and system.out ? Can you post the contents of your log.
