Hi,

I wonder whether someone can help me with issue regarding intgeration of MQ with WSC.

Is MQSeries JMS server needed for integration with external systems already included in WSC Profession or it should be bought and installed separetly?

I would like to integrate some ERP system and I don't know if I have to install additional MQseries.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

A separate WebSphere MQ installation (Client or Qmgr) is advised by IBM.
See WebSphere Commerce Additional Software guide for more details regarding this issue.

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/gen...general-en.html

From my own experience, I can advise to install a queue mgr on the WCS machine and connect this via a channel to a qmgr on the ERP system.

To connect WCS to WebSphere MQ you can use bindings or client mode, in my case bindings fails. Client mode works well.

Kind regards,

Robert

Thank's Robert,

One thing is still not clear for me. Does all required software is included in WSC Professional installation or do I have to acquire any additional soft e.g MQSeries?

Kind Regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

No, this software (MQ client / MQ Qmgr) is not included within the Commerce package.
I do believe MQ client is downloadable for free.

Kind regards,

Robert
