Hi,

I've read on IBM's website that WC 5.6 now support RHEL 3.0
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/gen...s/requirements/

I've tried to install on it but the installation failed.

The problem is there isn't any description for do it; is there anyone that
know the way?!?

Thanks,

Stefano Zauli

I currently have a PMR open with IBM regarding this same issue
installing Commerce 5.6 on RHEL ES 3.0.

On step #8 of the install for RHEL 3.0 ES, I get a segment fault
when it tries to start the JVM to start the update installer. So
far IBM hasn't given me any good feedback to fix the issue.

If anyone has experienced this and figured a workaround I would
greatly appreciate any feedback.

Hi Erik,

I messed around with this problem a bit, my solution was to install another
JDK and point the installer to that JDK after copying the CDs to disk so it
would work. To be honest I wasn't crazy about going with RHEL for this
reason (and perhaps other things which might break in future), so I went
with SUSE 8 instead.

IBM may have a better solution now for this problem now however.

Regards,

Mark
