Hi,

I'm having trouble with a Commerce 5.6 site that does not show Japanese
characters correctly. Everything looks just fine with labels, textboxes etc
that display Japanese characters until the user e.g. tries to change her
profile and updates e.g. their company name. What happens is that when the
user profile page is reloaded only question marks are shown in the company
name textbox. So far, I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong. My
LANGUGE table is set up with UTF-8 as the encoding and if I right-click the
webpage I can verify that Unicode(UTF-8) is used as the encoding. Also,
everything displays just fine except the textbox where the user updated the
company name. My database (Oracle) is also set up to support UTF-8. One more
thing which is strange is that it is possible for a user to create a new
list of products to buy and name the list using japanese characters.
However, if the name of the list is simply updated the list name is once
again displayed using only question marks.

Any suggestions regarding what I am doing wrong would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks! / Anders
