Hi Tim,

This is my easiest way to duplicate a commerce instance to another store.

Create the same instance on staging (different host name is ok, but the
merchant key and instance name need to be the same)

Stop the newly created instance.
Backup and restore your database from the primary to the new machine
copy the files from the primary machine to the secondary machine from the
root of the ear file
restart your instance.

This is not the official methodology by any means but is really easy (Keep
It Sweet & Simple method)

Regards,
Geo

Good morning. I have a client who has developed a commerce store and
catalog on a production server. now they want to making a copy of it on
staging.

They installed the instance on the staging.
What would be the next steps to get the same store from production to
staging.

1. Copy util to copy data from prod to stage.
2. does this create the entry for the current store and now all I have to do
is copy the jsp, images, ext....store.war stuff????

Thanks
