Author Purchase Orders in WC Express B2C

I am trying to setup Purchase orders using Custom Offline Cassette but It's not very clear how to customize to use PO.

I've been looking at the B2B sample (which uses PO's via the Custom Offline Cass.). I just need to have the PO option on checkout, that capture a PO number.

If there is an easy way it would be GREATLY appreciated.

I hear IBM Learning Services is working on a knowledge transfer machine
where you can sit in a real comfortable chair, select your software
product and version, put on a helmet contraption with wires leading to
the back, and it electronically preloads your brain with everything you
need to know to be IBM certified. Its still not available so you are
out of luck. Try a WebSphere Commerce certified Business Partner or the
myriad of PDFs and content in the Info Center.

Thanks for the replies Robert !!

I can't wait until IBM LS finishes that interface because the documentation is just not there yet :D

I've been going through the documentation for about a week now. There isn't much for 5.6 at all and the document is more oriented around someone that already knows the product.

I can understand that. Because of the complexity, it's impossible to write enough documentation to educate the "novice". It is MUCH better to go through training.

The problem is, the reason I am on the project I am on, is because my customer DID have a Certified Business partner come in. They failed miserably and told my customer that it would require 14 to 15 weeks of work to do the two functions that I'm trying
to do! Or else they would have to spend $150,000 on Bus Ed. instead of $20k for Express.

I'm no Commerce expert, but I know WAS, WSAD, Java etc.. I could tell from my experience working for IBM and using IBM products that there is NO WAY it would take that long.

Unfortunately, now, I have to implement it. As I said, I can easily write my own code to handle what the customer wants, however, it would be more beneficial to the customer to be able to do it with native functionalities.

There is quite a bit for v5.6. Perhaps you need to know where to look.

Always get a WebSphere Commerce Business Partner. There are a lot of
BPs and only a handful really know commerce well and have the capability
to train their clients to be self sufficient in WC.

Keep posting here. We will do our best to point you in the right
direction. I can tell you from experience the best documentation for
v5.6 is NOT the InfoCenter. The v5.5 PDFs are more complete and
specific to each role (developer, manager, administrator, etc.) and I
find myself leveraging those versions of the documentation more that the
v5.6 IC. The Redbooks are excellent too. Have you been here lately?
