Hello,

To start with, you could try a "kill -3" on the Java process while it is hanging. This will give you a javadump*.txt file so you can look at what each thread is doing.

I've have had a similar problem that was very difficult to debug with the idresolver. It was appearing to hang, but in fact the main thread had died leaving the logging threads alive so that the process did not terminate.

You could post the thread dump if you like.
