Stopping Web Modules access during batch processing

Is there a way to stop the web module of an installed J2EE Enterprise
Application in WebSphere Network Deployment like there was in WebSphere
Version 4?

We were stopping the web module while our batch processing was occurring, we
need to do the same thing in version 5.
