WebSphere Portal Server 4.2.1 Install failure ...

Error in last step of WebSphere Portal 4.2.1 install ... tries to
connect to Node with Portal Server in WAS 4.05 and fails to connect.
even though Portal Server App is fully running. Tries 12 times and tells
me to start the App Server. Have to abort installation without
completion . Please advise !

Error Msg:

(Dec 26, 2003 7:45:57 PM), install,
com.ibm.wps.install.PortalServerCheckPanel, err, Failed to connect to
server. Exception: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http
://VM1.ibm.com/wps/portal
