WebSphere Application Server - WAS 6 Global Security

I'm just staring to look at WAS 6. I was pleased to see that its now
very easy to put multiple nodes on one physical machine since we have
apps that we could consolidate except they use different registries.
With WAS 6 it looks like we can configure each node with its own global
security settings.

My question is what happens when I federate two nodes with different
global security settings? In the ND console it looks like GS settings
apply to the entire cell. Is that correct?
