Starting multiple servers in websphere application server v5
|
|
|
| Hi,
I am using websphere application server v5.
Initially i had one server where i had couple of applications deployed.
I added one more server and deployed one application in it.
I am unable to start the server2.Both the server belong to the same node.
My O/S is Win2000.
Please let me know how to do it.
Many Thanks

| I think, using ND version is easy way to build your additional application
server.
Some experts said that Base version also possible but it's a little hard and
difficult work.
If you try to build the second application server in the same place (just
same H/W), you should consider capability
of the machine.

You probably need it .. but failing that, if you only have Base you
can't manage both servers from a single console. You need to run the
admin app in both servers, and make sure they have different ports
defined so that you can select which one you want to administer.

| Can you tell me how do i do that ie run admin app in both the servers and make sure they have different ports define.
Can you tell me the steps to go about it.
Thanks
