I am getting this error from time to time with certain JSP files. It
goes away if I restart the app server. The error trace in the log file
does not have lot of information. Can some one give me some pointers as
to where I could start with debugging this annoying problem?

Check the SystemOut/Err and native_stdout/err logs.

Check the stacktrace of the exception to see who throwed the exception.
