Author Sharing LDAP configuration info

2005-08-29, 2:52 am

I'm using WebSphere 6 and have configured authentication via LDAP.

Our application code also must connect to this same LDAP server, to change passwords and retrieve other info.

Is there a way to share the LDAP configuration info (e.g. the server name and port etc) so that I don't need to specify it twice (I currently have it configured both via the WebSphere console and via a properties file that my code can read)?

Even better would be to share the same LDAP connections, the way a JDBC connection pool can be....?

Cheers,
Troy.
