Author Admin Console issue with WAS installation

2005-06-10, 5:57 pm

Hello,

I just installed was v5.1 on linux (suse8.1). WAS installation was successful, I start the server and run snoop servlet.

Problem is with Config server. It is not picking the server instance. I can't launch it from firststeps. I can launch it from the browser with http://localhost:9090/admin
It asks for only user name (not password). When it comes up, it does not have any items in laft frame - which should display list of configurable item - like virtual hosts and all. I can not see server instance anywhere in the admin console.

Can anyone tell what the problem may be and how to fix it? I already tried uninstalling admin console application and reinstalling that. But I did that without deleting preferences.xml - is that what I missed?

Please help.

did you check your linux web browser?
Try to access the admin console with IE from another machine.

Uninstall WAS and Install it again.
