We are trying to setup global security for standalone WAS machine, but based on IBM documentation it looks like if we enable global security then we may pay 10-20% performance penalty. Is there any other way to disable or lock admin console still not losi
ng any performance. I know in ND environment you can disable server(node) level global security but still enable global security for ND console.i.e enable cell level security but disable server level. This feature is not available on WAS standalone machin
e. We are using 5112. Any other alternate ideas!

In my experience, you only pay that penalty if you're using security in
your application.
