Using WebApplication Server to configure Tivoli LDAP server
|
|
|
| Hello everyone:
I've installed Tivoli LDAP server and as I can see it's woking. I've gone through post configuration steps. However, on the Administration Guide I see that I need a Web Console in order to administer my Tivoli. I did install WebSphere App Server but I'm s
till not able to access my Web console admin:
http://localhost:12100/IDSWebApp/IDSjsp/Login.jsp
Do I need the HTTP Server in order to do this? Am I on the right track?
Thanks a lot in advance

| Did you successfully install the IDSWebApp.war file that ships with IBM Tivoli Directory Server? You can find this under the "idstools" directory...

|
| I didn't know I have to do that.... as a matter of fact, it wasn't on the Installation and configuration Guide.
So this is the plan I understand:
1) Install Application Server
2) Install Tivoli LDAP
3) Deploy War file
Is that it? do I need the HTTP server? do I need extra configuration between HTTP server and Application server?
Thanks

Review the instructions:
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwor...dmin/index.html
you don't need an HTTP server (unless you want to configure it, but that would be extra steps and
you can access the Tivoli console without it).
