WebSphere Portal Server - Portal Service failed to start

Portal Service failed to start

I developed a custom portal service and ran fine in WPS 4.2. I reviewed WPS 5 InfoCenter and defined a new entry in WP_ROOT/shared/app/config/services.properties and copied the jar file to WP_ROOT/shared/app directory. But , but when I deployed it to WPS
5, I kept getting following message:

2004.01.28 12:44:04.188 E com.ibm.wps.services.ServiceManager ServiceManager.init
ServiceManager: A service with name [services.AccessDataService] cannot be found.

What did I miss? Your help is hightly appreciated.
