WPS 4.2 extend takes too long to log in

| Hi, I have wps 4.2 extend using domino ldap to authenticate users. I have
sametime contact list, lotus notes, lotus todo, lotus calendar, and My news
portlets. Those portlets are installed on the welcome page of my place,
which is the default page when you log in as one of my users. The problem is
when a user logs on it takes about a min for the portlets to show up.

| Hi,
are you sure that page aggregation causes your problems?
My impression is that authentication (LDAP, IBM Directory Server) itself takes much too long.
Did anyone else experience the problem? Does anyone know how to tune the authentication process?
Best regards
Simone

Enable portal UM, PortalCore and EngineCommand trace in jlog.properties.
Stop the portal. Delete all the logs. Restart and run the tests again.
Check for any large time gaps between the timestamps in the logs. The
problem could be in the Websphere layer. The trace will help to show
where the slowdown is
