Hello All,

I have a requirement of using this unsupported configuration. I have ready
EJB 2.0 in application,
so I cannot use WS 4 and need using WS 5.

First I installed WS4 + PS 4.2 and everything worked. Then I installed WS 5
aside,
it migrated most ear applications and worked. Also it created
'WebSphere_Portal' server.
Also I redelployed WPS.ear and WPSProxy.ear application, because they were
not migrated.
'WebSphere_Portal' server was starting but вщуы not load personalization
classes.
They were anbsent. OK then, I investigated classpath and copied
all <WS4_ROOT>\lib\app\** files to similar location <WS5_ROOT>\lib\app\.
Poked in configs a bit to adjust directories.

When WebSphere service '...server1' starts, it shows Win32 system error
100: "Cannot create another system semaphore" -- WinAPI doc names this
TOO_MUCH_SEMAPHORES.
When I removed personalization.jar+prCommon.jar, Portal application starts
but cannot find classes.

Maybe someone has experience of this strange config? I know IBM does not
officially support this,
but this is software and it supposed to work...

Thanks?
Vladimir.

I don't see how you can form this conclusion. Why would you have a
'requirement' to use a completely unsupported configuration? What good
could come out of trying to waste time on it?
