| Hi,
I try to switch from one ldap server to another (both are Domino ldaps).
WebSphere portal is up ok. However, when I try to log in into the portal,
the login always fails. The portal's log shows that the login process still
looking at the old LDAP server. How many places (files) and where I have to
change the old ldap server's name to the new one. Thanks.

| Thanks. It works.
In the document, it says "A suffix change requires a reinstall of Portal".
Does this mean a domain change will require re-installation of the portal
server. My company is changing its name and its domain name. Am I looking at
a re-installation job here? Is there any way to go around this? Thanks.

If your LDAP suffix changes from dc=companyA,dc=com to
dc=companyB,dc=com you are probably better off reinstalling the portal.
You could use a webserver virtual host as the Portal's hostname or you
could implement a redirect at the webserver level
Mnaual updates to change the LDAP suffix are described here (ignore the
Directory Integrator stuff)
