Dear all,
Currently my WSAD is version 5.1. According to many discussions in this forums, PortalToolkit5 seems to not be able to be installed in WSAD 5.1. However, it's impossible for my to switch my WSAD 5.1 to WSAD 5.0.1 (You know, WASD 5.1 is better). So, is the
re any way to develop a portlet for WPS 5 in WSAD 5.1 ?

Thank you for your answer.

Get a old portlet toolkit e.g. 4.2.

Next toolkit fix pack (5.0.2) should support WSAD 5.1, but it's yet
released. At this point, I suggest you to install both 5.1 and 5.0.1. When
you need to develop portlet, use 5.0.1. Anything else, run 5.1.

I haven't deployed my portlets to see if they work okay in the actual portal server, but they seem to work and debugging works for my test environment using wsad5.1 and portaltoolkit5.0.2. The work around for me though, was to grab the Express 5.0.2 porta
l and use the supplied efixes from it to patch my WTE in wsad5.1. After that I was able to install the test environment for portal v5.

Oh, you'll also need to grab the Portal Server Express 5.0.2 component package along with the install files from above since after you get past the efixes check, you'll need the actual Portal Server Express 5.0.2 for the test environment.

But like I said, the test environment is working for me eventhough IBM doesn't officially support this yet. I'll try to deploy the portlet in my actual install of Portal Server Extended 5.0 and see if this hack works.
