Hello:

Trying to understand the technical details of the Document Manager portlet .. I have wps installed on my laptop .. using the cloudscape db ..

1) Are the documents uploaded into the portlet.. stored in a database or is it stored in the file-system somewhere?? which database .. or if in file-system, which directory ??

2) Is there any documentation out there that explains in detail how the Document Manager portlet works .. ??

3) Is there any API documentation for the pdm classes and the classes that it uses in pcm.jar, pdm.jar, etc..

Any help provided would really be appreciated.

Thanks,
Benny ..

I believe all that data is stored in the Cloudscape database. When I configured WPS 5.0 to work with DB2 it required the creation of 2 databases: WPS50 and WPCP50. I would imagine that's where the data is stored in my configuration.

As far as an API for Content Manager goes, I posted that question and haven't seen any responses. Hard to make custom CM portlets with no CM API
