wp 5 update portletapp does not update parameters

If I update a portlet application with the administration pages in
WebSphere Portal 5 the following happens with parameters:

- parameters deleted in the portlet.xml are kept in the portal
- parameters added to the portlet.xml are added to the portal

The above works like described in the InfoCenter.

But:

- parameters changed in the portlet.xml are not updated in the portal!

I believe the InfoCenter states that changed parameters will be updated
in the portal. But in version 5.0.1 it does not seem to do this.

Is this a bug?
