Disable Transcoding Publisher

| Hi,
I need to disable/deactivate Transcoding Publisher in Websphere Portal 4.1.3 because we are not using it. Besides it causes unnecssary CPU peaks on our database by importing some WTP files into the database. These peaks cause our monitoring to screw up. T
hat's why we want to get rid of Transcoding Publisher.
I know that it is necessary to execute some scripts and change several properties. Simply deactivating portal and portlet filtering in the ConfigService.properties does not solve the problem.
Can anybody help?
Thanks.

I don't know if you use either but Transcoding is required for
Struts-based portlets and for WebClipping. I don't know how to
deactivate it but installing it does change more than that one file.
perhaps this will help
