Internet Mail Box portlet authentication problems

I am trying to use the "IBM Internet Mail Box" portlet in my WPS 5
portal. The portlet is configured to use an external IMAP mailserver.

However, I have some trouble getting the user authentication to work
properly. The problem is that the username and the password seems to be
common for all users of the portlet. The username and password stored by
one user becomes the username and password for all other users of the
portlet as well.

What am I doing wrong, any clue ? Is it a configuration problem or is it
a limitation of the portlet?
