User management from WPS 5.0.2

| Hi All,
We are using the following versions:
- WAS: 5.0.2
- WSAD: 5.0.1
- WebSphere Portal Server: 5.0.2 Extend
Note: WAS and WebSphere Portal Server are installed in a linux server.
With the versions 5.0.2 we can reach the Windows Active Directory (with 5.0 version we could not reach it). We have two questions about this topic:
1. Users and groups information is stored in the Windows Active Directory and roles and resources are stored in the CloudScape database. Please, could someone confirm this situation?
2. Could we manage (delete, modify or create) the users and groups of the Windows Active Directory from WebSphere Portal Server?
Please, could anybody help us?
Thanks in advance.

| David,
answer to Q1:
If you portal is configured to use the Active Directory as user
repository, then the users and groups for the portal are from the Active
Directory.
Anser to Q2:
You could use the XML interace of portal to delete or create users and
groups in your Active Directory if you have write permissions to the
Active Directory. However, in my opinion you should use the tools that
come with Active Directory to create or delete users.
