The Portal Toolkit 5.0.2.1 is now available at:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/inf...&S_CMP=campaign
to be used with WSxD 5.1.1 and WSAD-IE 5.1.
Enjoy!

| I noticed two problems in the "Portal Toolkit Version 5.0.2.1 Installation Guide".
1/ In the section "Scenario (typical) Local debug development environment for WebSphere Portal V5.0, Preparing the required CDs and files, WebSphere Portal 5.0.2 Cumulative Fix 1" it says you should download the "PortalUpgradeInstaller.zip". This file doe
s not seem to exist. Instead I found the PortletUpgradeInstaller inside the "Fixpack2.zip" file containing the WebSphere Portal 5.0 Fix Pack 2 (a naming convention for fixpack files would be handy..;).
2/ In the same section, "Installing Portal Toolkit V5.0.2.1 and WebSphere Portal V5.0", step 9 "Select the WebSphere Portal V5.0 for Test Environment" I could not select this option but got the following error message: "The following prerequisite is requi
red: eFix: PQ76567, eFix: PQ78166". These fixes are part of the WAS5023CumulativeWindows.zip WAS 5.0.2.3 fixes. So I installed these two efixes using the this WAS 5.0.2.3 fixpack (eventhough the installation document clearly states not to install any othe
r fixes than those mentioned) and the installation allowed me to continue.
Having followed all the steps in the "Scenario (typical) Local debug development environment for WebSphere Portal V5.0" I am now stuck at a Portal Toolkit 5.0.2.1 which is not functioning. I don't think this is due to the issues mentioned above however.
When I run an example portlet on the WebSphere Portal 5.0.2 Test Environment I get a "cannot find server" error in my browser. The test environment does not seem to be running at port 9081. Or maybe it is using a different (virtual) host. I will investiga
te further..

| 1.
I have followed the link of "Download package", and there
is a PortalUpdateInstaller.zip (not PortalUpgradeInstaller!)
at bottom of download page.
The PortalUpdateInstall.jar is dated 04/16/2003.
2.
The fixes for PQ76567 and PQ78166 are included in
was502_cf3_win.zip.
Have you performed the step "Installing WebSphere
Application Server V5.0.2 Cumulative Fix 3", before
doing the step "Installing WebSphere Application
Server V5.0.2.3 fix" ?
These two steps are separate steps.
