I am running Portal 5.0.2 on WAS 5.0.2 on Windows 2000. Everything works great when I start Portal using the shortcut on the Start menu. However, when I use wasservice to create the Windows service, everything works except the WPCP. I get the familar "una
ble to communicate". I have tried various users for the service including localsystem and administrator, but still have the same results.

The following is found in the logs...

E org.apache.jetspeed.portlet.PortletLog error
com.ibm.pcm.apis.AEInitException: userAuthenticationFailed,portaladmin
at com.ibm.pcm.apis.AuthoringEnvironment.loginToServer(AuthoringEnvironment.java:439)
at com.ibm.pcm.apis.AuthoringEnvironment.<init>(AuthoringEnvironment.java:83)

...

Anybody else seen this? Any ideas?

Thanks, Brian
