Forwarding Requests with in Portlet Application

Hi,

I would like to forward a request to a different resource within my portlet Application.
So, the code I have with in doView method ( Just a test..)

portletContext.getRequestDispatcher("resources/index.html"). forward(portletRequest,portletResponse);

Nothing Happens.. There are no exceptions either.
I even tried the absolute path to the resource. What is it that I am missing?

How doe one go about forwarding to requests to resources other than servlets and JSP inside a portlet?
