Hi.

Is it possible to set the default skinn & Theme for the anonymous user
in wps 5.0.

When I hit the login button or browse to any other pages anonymous, the
theme and skin that is displayed seems to be random or inconsistent.

Does anyone have a clue on how to force the default theme to always be
selected?

Mls,
there is no way to assing themes to users.
You have to assign themes to places and pages.
The places and pages will pick up the theme you assigned to them

In this case, the theme of the page you visited before pressing the log
in button is used.

Screens use the portal default theme. We use a defualt theme for that
very purpose, all other pages use a different theme.

not true unless of course the previous page used the portal default theme.

Rob,
I do not agree with you.
I did a test on my 5.0 installation. I have two pages for the anonymous
user. Page1 uses portal default theme, page2 uses the Finance theme.
When I visit page1 before pressing the "log in" button, the Login screen
shows the portal default theme. When I visit page2 before I click the
"log in" button, the Login screen shows the Finance theme.
