Active Directory LDAP setup fails - any suggestions?

| I have been unable to get Websphere Portal (5.02) to talk to Active
Directory as it's LDAP provider.
I have no problems getting WAS to talk to Active Directory LDAP, but when I
try and configure Portal to use LDAP it fails.
I have tried following the documentation on IBM's site, but I get serious
failure messages when I try to enable ldap using wpsconfig.
Is there any document or website that has a step-by-step guide of getting
Portal to work with Active Directory? It would be nice to know exactly what
fixpacks and fixes must be installed prior to enabling security, what to do
in case of failure, etc.
I'm at a loss, and I've gotten so many different error messages along the
way that I don't know where to begin to post them.

| validate-ldap would work, but the actual enable security would fail. We
upgraded to 5.0.2.6 for WAS and re-ran the security and it worked.

| I've got the same problem. Try to enable-security before you upgrade to
WPS 5.0.2. It will work!
