I'm trying to figure out what rights a "Anonymous Portal User" user has
to the Welcome Page. When I go to the http://?????/wps/portal page I
see the Welcome Page, The Welcome to WebSphere Portal, and the About
WebSphere Portal portal.

How does the Anonymous user get the rights. Why can't it see the
BookMarks portal which is between the Welcome and About portals.

Also has anyone looked at what rights the "all authenticated portal
users" group gets and the "all portal user group" gets. If so can they
share...

Thanks,

Doug Thomson

In the Access Right portlets, you have a special group Anonymous User.
If you assign this right to some elements (pages or portlets), even if
you don't log you can see these elements.

So, if you go in the Access Rights to the Welcome Pages, you can see
that Anonymous User's group is in the ACL.

If the same thing for the group all authenticated portal
users, but here it's just he people listed in the ldap directory.

Hi,

I want to deploy a portlet on the default page for anonymous users. However, in the portlet I want to store data in the session, for each user. How can I store user-specific data even if the user does not log into the portal?

TIA,
Sudhir.
