| Hi all!
I'm creating a portal which needs a chat room tool. I know there web
conferencing tool are available already via Lotus Sametime portlets
(Who are here?, Web Conferencing, etc.) but I want the other tools
available in those portlets (sharing screen, whiteboard, etc) disabled.
In short, I just want the simple chatting function available. Is there
an existing portlet available with this function? Or maybe is there a
way to customize the sametime portlets (I hope so)? Thanks!

| You can use the Sametime Contact List Portelts which include only the
chat functionality. In fact, it's the same features that Java Sametime
Connect.

| Well, I could use sametime contact list or connect portlet but their
functionality is not what I'm really looking for. I'm looking for a
simple text messaging portlet that I could use for anonymous portal
users. The 'who am I?' portlet is good for my portal need except that I
have to find a way to disable the other functions in it (ability to
invite others and the additional tools). Anyway thanks for your help.
