hi ppl,
I have installed portal toolkit 5.0.2.2 with Websphere portal 5.0 for Test environment and Websphere studio 5.1.2.
Installation process was alright, now when I login as wpsadmin I am getting blank pages when I click on "Portal user Interface" or "Portlets" or "Acess".

It looks like wpsadmin dont have admin rights.

I dont have any ldap server, I am running it on my local mahchine with cloudscape.

Could you pls give me directions from where can I set the admin permissions from wpsadmin. I have not set any security settings, in general tab of admin console security is NOT enabled.

Thanks in advance

Most ppl have found the solution by modifing the USER_DESC table, but
for me database is looking alright,

In my cloudscape database there is an for wpsadmin and wpsadmins

OID = 10
Name = uid=wpsadmin,o=default organization
Type= 9

and another entry

OID = 11
Name = uid=wpsadmins,o=default organization
Type= 8

ANY SUGESSTIONS ???

I think this is FAQ in this news group.
By default, test environment does not provide any built-in portlets,
including admin portlets.
If you want to see admin portlets, then open your server and server
configuration, select "Portal" tab and check "Enable base portlets for
portal administration and customzation".
With this option selected, you will get admin portlets on admin pages,
but test environment takes 40 seconds longer to start in my PC.

But, don't expect too much. Even if you get admin portlets, you cannot
install portlets, and most of settings you made with admin portlets will
be reset when you start test environment next time.

Maybe I was not clear enough.
There IS a way to get admin portlet, as I have described in previous
message, but you can NOT install portlet using admin portlet in test
environment. Only way you run portlet in test environment is to have
portlet project in your workspace.
