How to setup the user id and password for Proxy server using ContentAccess service?

The property file PortletServicesRegistryService.properties in \WebSphere\PortalServer\shared\app\confi
g\services has only options for specifying a Proxy host and port number.

Where should we specify Proxy server user id and password?

Any pointers will be of great help.

There may be a technote here

Hello,

You can follow the procedure described in this technote :
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docvie...utf-8〈=en

User ID and password must be declared into a credential vault slot (predefined.credential.ContentAccessProxy).

If it does not exists, create it.

The procedure described by IBM is using the XML configuration interface to create the slot, but you can create/modify it throught the portal administration interface.

I've tried the feature, and it works fine for me.

Good luck

Charles
