Portal Server failes to start JSF portlet-Urgent

I am using WSAD 5.1.2 and Portal Toolkit 5.0.2.2 under Linux. Have created a
JSF portlet using the portal toolkit and deployed it successfully under WPS
5.0.2.2 When updating the portelt and redploying it the portlet fails to
start. To solve the problem I have to restart the whole WPS portal.
Any suggestions why the stop/start of the Application can fail. Thanks in
advance
