Problem installing portal test environment5.1

I'm facing a problem when installing the websphere portal test environment5.1. when the installation is in progress it is terminated with error message.
"Websphere application server is not installed properly and getting terminated."
Even it's not displaying anything in the log file.
can anybody help me...
