Enabeling LDAP Security in a Cluster
|

| Hi !
I am about to enable security in a Portal Cluster. What would be the preferred working order ?
Do I enable security on each node and then the deployment manager, or do I enable security only on one node and then the settings are automatically replicated to the other members and the DMgr ? Or do I have to remove all the cluster members from the clsu
ter and then enable security on each of the members and the recreate the cluster ? Are there other ways of doing this ?
Thank in advance.

| If you are using WPS 5.0, then you need to do security first. In 5.1 you can do it either way. I prefer to do security first, since I seem to have better luck doing security before migrating the database and the database needs to be migrated before federa
ting. If you do security after federating, you can do it all using the Portal configuration scripts. If you do it before, you must manually set up security in the deployment manager before you federate the nodes.

| Thanks !
Since im using 5.1 and already have migrated the database I do not have much of an option. I will do it on each cluster memeber in turn and finally in the deployment manager.
