Urgent: Solution help about portal integrate with backend applications

Hi, guys. I need your help now.

I have one case to integrate all backend applications into websphere portal.
At least I will integrate user together by using ldap plus (TIM)IDI. The major problem is that all the old applications get user information from session and hardcode,so now when using portal sso, is there any posibility to generate a session and transfer
this session to all the applications, and then when logoff, remove all session from applications?
I am not familiar with portal, so ask for your help, or anybody has more better suggestions? or anybody can provide materials to let me learning?

Any suggestion or question or help is welcome. I am very appreciated at your warmhearted help. I am waiting for help online.
