After login into the WebSphere Portal,i am finding a dropdown by the Name "My Favorites".I want to hide this.Please provide me the steps for doing the same.

Go into Appserver/installedApps/<machinename>/wps.ear/wps.war/
themes/html/<themeName> and edit PlaceBarInclude.jsp.

This seemed to remove part of my response. after installedApps is a directory that is the same as your machine name. After html there is a directory named by the theme you are using. Hope this helps.

I tried modifying the place barInclude.jsp..but the page was still showing "My favorites".Need to know..what all stpes i need to carry out after modifying the file..

You will also need to make a change to Default.jsp and restart your portal.
