doTitle getting executed twice on every invocation of portlet

I'm using IBM Basic APIs for the portlet development. Our project has its own themes and Skins. The skin is used primarily to hide / unhide the portlet based on custom needs.

One peculiar issue I'm facing is that the doTitle method is getting executed twice when ever the portlet is called. Any idea what the reason might be?

The doTitle of other portlets in the same page with the same skin is getting called only once. So, I guess its not a problem with the skin. Also, the doTitle of this portlet is simple. It just sets the portlet title conditionally.

Any ideas on why it could be is welcome.
