We have downloaded the following files to update portal version:

| Please use underscore "_", not hyphen "-".
So the task is CONFIG_WP_PTF_5102.

Hello Fang,
I tried by replacing "_"(underscore) insteap of "-">. I am getting error saying that 'Target `CONFIG_WP_PTF_5102' does not exist in this project.'
I think, the WPSconfig.bat file is not identifying 'CONFIG_WP_PTF_5102' parameter.
Could you please help me to solve this problem.
Thanks,
Naga Muni Reddy.

| Hello Fang,
I tried by replacing "_"(underscore) instead of "-". I am getting same error saying that 'Target `CONFIG_WP_PTF_5102' does not exist in this project.'
I think, the WPSconfig.bat file is not identifying 'CONFIG_WP_PTF_5102' parameter.
Could you please help me to solve this problem.
Thanks,

|
| Is this issue resolved? I upgraded 5.1.0.1 to 5.1.0.2 on WAS V6. Let me know if I can be of help.

|
| Sorry, the task is "CONFIG-WP-PTF-5102". There should be a file created
under <wps_home>/config/includes, wp-ptf-5102.xml. If you can't find that
file, usually it means the installation step of the fixpack has failed, try
to find why from the logs and uninstall the fixpack Make sure the uninstall
is successful, and then reinstall. Only after a successful install step, can
you find that XML file.

Hi Hargon,
We couldn't succeed in upgrading from Portal server version 5.1.0.1 to 5.1.0.2, on WAS 5.1.1.3.
Please let us know your view on this issue.
Thanks,
Naga Muni Reddy

| Good Morning
I'd refer you to the WebSphere Portal Information Centre at: -
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc...pf/welcome.html
which has a section: -
Using Portal Update Installer to upgrade from WebSphere Portal Version 5.1.0.1 to WebSphere Portal Version 5.1.0.2
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc...nstall5102.html
In essence, you run two tasks: -
pdatePortal -fixpack
-installDir "C:\Program Files\WebSphere\PortalServer"
-fixpackDir "C:\Program Files\WebSphere\PortalServer\update\fixp
acks"
-install
-fixpackID WP_PTF_5102
WPSconfig.bat CONFIG-WP-PTF-5102 -DPortalAdminPwd=portalAdminPassword -DWasPassword=WebSphereAppServerPassword
Please note that there is more to it than that - I'm merely highlighting that the order in which these two particular tasks are run.

| Hello Dave,
I have done the following two steps in the same command prompt window, again I am getting same error message saying that 'CONFIG-WP-PTF-5102' does not exists.
updatePortal -fixpack -installDir "C:\Program Files\WebSphere\PortalServer"
-fixpackDir "C:\Program Files\WebSphere\PortalServer\update\fixp
acks" -install
-fixpackID WP_PTF_5102
WPSconfig.bat CONFIG-WP-PTF-5102 -DPortalAdminPwd=portalAdminPassword -DWasPassword=WebSphereAppServerPassword
But, the difference is I used updatePortal.bat file instead of pdatePortal as you mentioned. I think, there is not pdatePortal.bat file. If you have pdatePortal.bat file please send to naga.reddy@slk-soft.com.
We have followed the installation steps given at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc...nstall5102.html
Please let me know any solution to sove the above problem.
Thanks,
Naga Muni Reddy.
