Is there a possibility to specify that a user account is locked after entering the password x times?
Also I have to know if it's possible to specify that the user has to change his password after a period of time and that the new password is not in the list of its x last passwords.

Thanks in advance

I don't believe WPS provides a mechnism for this. The user registry may
provide such a function perhaps, but you would likely have to tweak the
login process to surface it.

I don't know off my head if LDAP servers support such a mechanism.
