Edit and config icons dissappeared

| Hi all,
I have quite a strange problem, I have created a struts portlet that requires the edit and configure modes only. Initially this portlet was designed with help, minimise and maximise aswell but this wasn't required.
As soon as I took the minimise and maximise and help options out - the configure and edit buttons disappeared.
Can anyone advise me as to why this might have happened

assuming you are using portal version 5.1, I would install the fix
PK02240. This seems to address the issue you are seeing.

| Another question concerning this matter. Does anyone know how I can
configure that a usergroup has rights to edit mode and not to configure
mode?
Same goes for minimize and maximize mode: one usergroup has rights to
them both and other usergroups don't have.
